Meet Sugako

Sugako Sasaki is a professional dog trainer and canine behavior specialist in Kent, WA, serving clients throughout the Seattle area and South King County. Originally from Japan, she is bilingual in Japanese and English and works with a diverse range of families and handlers.

Sugako holds an AS in Canine Behavior Analysis and Counseling and a BS in Animal Assisted Therapy. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) and a certified service dog trainer and Service Dog Coach through Atlas Assistance Dogs. Since 2021, she has served as a lead team facilitator with Atlas Assistance Dogs, helping train service dogs across Washington State.

Her approach is shaped by both her work in service dog training and her background as a Senior Registered Behavior Technician, supporting autistic children and their families. Sugako focuses on clear communication, emotional safety, and practical, evidence-based training.

犬の行動分析とカウンセリングのAS、動物介在療法のBSを取得し、CPDT-KAおよびAtlas Assistance Dogs認定サービスドッグトレーナー／サービスドッグコーチです。2021年よりAtlas Assistance Dogsのリード・チーム・ファシリテーターとして、州内のサービスドッグ育成に携わっています。

サービスドッグトレーニングと、自閉症児支援のRBTとしての経験を活かし、分かりやすいコミュニケーション、安全性、科学的根拠に基づく実践的トレーニングを大切にしています。
